Dear MS Word 2010:
WHY--for reasons I'm not sure of and would like to know--ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT THIS SENTENCE: "...but I honestly don't think it's good enough." IS WRONG? WHY--honestly, I would love to know; I'm just dying to know--ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT IT'S (it is) SHOULD BE ITS (possessive)?
I know this sounds harsh, and I am truly sorry if I'm coming off as a bitch, but WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME THIS WHEN IT IS BLATANTLY WRONG?
Sincerely,
Abigail
And to those who RELY on MS WORD's GRAMMAR RULE(Z):
THIS is why you do not.
"Check the meaning of the marked word to be sure you are using the word correctly. Words that sound alike are often confused with one another."
IT'S = it is. ITS = possessive. MS WORD wants ITS, not IT'S.
HMM, MAYBE, MS WORD, YOU SHOULD CHECK THE MARKED WORD AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE (or should that be YOUR?) NOT CONFUSING ITS WITH IT'S.
GOOD DAY TO YOU, MS WORD 2010. GOOD DAY. TO YOU.
